The BMW 5 Series model offers three engines, a 3.0 liter DOHC I6 model that produces 230 hp and 200 lb ft of torque, a 4.8 liter V8 engine that produces power up to 360 hp at an angular speed of 6300 rpm and 360 lb ft of torque at 3400 rpm and a 5.0 liter V10 version that produces 500 hp at 7750 rpm and 384 lb ft at 6100 rpm. With the V10 engine, the luxury car can achieve fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon in the city streets and 27 miles per gallon on the highway roads.
